About us
The Portuguese community of Information Security Management System gathers security managers and professionals, of some of the leading Portuguese corporations and institutions, interested in fostering management practices of information security.
This community adopted the international framework of security management, formed by ISO 27001 (former BS 7799-2) and ISO 17799 (which will be replaced by ISO 27002). As other ISMS communities in the world, ISMS Portugal aims to support its members in the chore of implementing and administrating Information Security Management Systems in Portuguese organizations.
ISMS PT was established in 2005 and, as part of its activities, maintains a blog (

Although, most of the ISMS PT communication is held in Portuguese, part of its events are in English language. Therefore, non-speak Portuguese speakers may participate and are welcome in our community.
